SSA Assam Aim
The aim of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) is to provide quality elementary education to all children in India, particularly girls, children in difficult circumstances, and children from economically and socially disadvantaged groups. SSA Assam Components
1. Civil Works
The most important factor in creating a favourable physical environment for learning in a school is the civil works component. Particularly in remote and educationally underdeveloped areas, children are more likely to attend school because of the adequate facilities, which also contributes to their retention in line with the goals of the RTE Act.
2. Research & Evaluation
SSA Assam has several functional areas, one of which being Research Evaluation Monitoring & Supervision (REMS). Through surveys and studies, the effectiveness of various interventions and activities is assessed in order to determine their strengths and limitations. Universities, colleges, research institutes, and other organisations participate in surveys and studies. Studies and surveys have been carried out over time. Surveys of state-level achievement have been carried out. A programme for evaluating schools called Siksha Samriddhi (Shaala Siddhi) has been in place since last year.
